The Department of Finance at Seton Hall University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2026. We seek a collegial scholar and educator dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses across a range of finance areas as determined by departmental needs.
• Maintain an active research agenda that results in publications in leading finance journals.
• Contribute to service activities at the department, school, university, and professional levels.
• Maintain a strong on-campus presence in South Orange, actively engaging in high-impact activities with students such as teaching, mentoring, and academic program development.
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Finance from an accredited and reputable institution.
• Demonstrated record of, or strong potential for, high-quality research and effective teaching.
• Evidence of the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and the professional finance community.
• Commitment to collegiality, student well-being, and academic excellence.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of appointment.
• ABDs on track to complete their Ph.D. by August 2026 will also be considered.
Salary Range:
$133,648-$170,000
Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
