The Director of Design and Digital Media at the Teaching, Learning & Technology Center (TLTC) of Seton Hall University is responsible for leading the design and development of the University’s digital media assets and website. This role is critical in ensuring the high-quality production of video, graphic design, multimedia content, and web services that support the University’s educational and promotional needs. The Director will manage and oversee the teams responsible for these creative outputs, ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with the University’s goals and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership within the digital media team, driving the vision and execution of video production, graphic design, and multimedia initiatives to support and elevate the University's teaching, research, and marketing strategies.

Lead the strategic planning and architecture of the University’s website, ensuring full compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508) while enhancing user experience and aligning with the institution’s digital and strategic objectives.

Oversee high-level project management for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective coordination of resources, timelines, and deliverables within the TLTC and across other University departments, contributing to impactful results on university-wide projects.

Collaborate with other TLTC directors in shaping the center’s strategic plans, focusing on enhancing digital media and web development capabilities. Driving innovation to ensure the University remains at the forefront of emerging technologies and practices.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing creative and web development projects, with expertise in at least one specialized area of digital media, design, or production. They must demonstrate the ability to assess project requirements and lead a team in delivering solutions that align with institutional or instructional objectives, considering available technologies, deadlines, and team capacity.

The candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of current creative production and web development technologies, both hardware and software, to effectively manage a team of creative professionals. Strong communication skills are essential, as the candidate will regularly coordinate with various stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues.

Additionally, the candidate must stay informed of emerging IT tools and software relevant to the department’s focus areas, particularly in video production, digital media, graphics, and web design, and understand how to leverage these tools effectively for success.
