The Department of Psychology at Seton Hall University (https://www.shu.edu/academics/artsci/psychology/) invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position to being in Fall 2025. The area of specialization is open, but applicants should be able to teach core classes in psychology such as Introduction to Psychology and Research Methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include teaching four undergraduate courses per semester and holding a minimum of four office hours per week. The specific courses will vary based on a combination of departmental needs and instructor specialization; they may include Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, or Research Methods. Candidates should be prepared to teach Introduction to Psychology in sections of 90-110 students as well as smaller sections of around 25.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a PhD, PsyD, or a doctorate in a field closely related to psychology. Applicants who are in the process of completing a doctorate will be considered, although the degree must be completed by the time of appointment.

Desired Qualifications:

College level teaching experience is preferred.
